BATMN is an alerting tools supported by Shell Global Monitoring Operations. Its name is an acronym for BSM Autonomous Tool for Messaging and Notification. While BSM (Event Management System) has been replaced by Moogsoft AIOps, BATMN has kept its name.
BATSIGNL was devloped as a companion tool to BATMN and is designed to work with Moogsoft AIOps to allow automated systems to obtain ticketing information about previous alerts they might have sent using BATMN. BATSIGNL also allows an automated system to send updates to a previously open Moogsoft situation, which will be synchronized with any associated ServiceNow Incident Tickets. BATSIGNL is also an acronym which stands for BATMN Scripted Information Generation 'N Lookup.
